Winchester Stables

Winchester Stables is well known as a premier
full service equestrian facility for both riding
and driving. Our staff is knowledgeable,
friendly and interested in your safety. If
you are interested in riding or driving lessons,
please contact us to put together a lesson
package for you. You can bring your own
horse or learn from one of ours. We have
experienced school horses for both riding
and driving.

Winchester Stables' location on the banks of the sparkling West River places you among some of Southern Vermont's most renowned hospitality and all-season recreation centers. We are within 30 minutes of many ski resorts such as Mount Snow, Stratton, Bromley and Magic. The area provides year round activities including golf, antiques, live music, fine arts and crafts, lovely inns for dining and a wide range of accomodations.

The River Bend Lodge is located on the
banks of the West River in Newfane,
Vermont, one of New England’s most
beautiful shires. The entire village is listed
on the Register of Historic Places.

The River Bend Lodge is the lodging of
choice for sporting enthusiasts and tourists.
Skiers enjoy easy access to Stratton
Mountain, Haystack and Mount Snow. There
is excellent golf, hiking, climbing, kayaking,
tubing and mountain biking during summer
and fall. The region also features antiquing,
fine dining, art and music festivals, and
Vermont’s world-famous scenery.

We offer twenty recently redecorated rooms
and a comfortable lobby where guests can
enjoy coffee with friends and family.
